C. L. Berg

Hannaford, North Dakota

was born in Bynesset on September 27, 1848 and emigrated to America in 1873 to Minneapolis, Minnesota and then he went to Fargo, North Dakota in 1878 and lived there until 1903. He then moved to Hannaford, North Dakota and operated a Sanitarium there for a couple of years. He now has a restaurant where the food is as good as it can get.

His wife, Josefine Rostad, is from Ørlandet. She grew up in Trondhjem and was confirmed in Trondhjems Cathedral. She came to America in 1872. They have two daughters. One of the daughters is married to W. J. Probsfield and they live three miles north of Moorhead, Minnesota. Their other daughter Cora is working at the First National Bank in Hannaford, North Dakota.
