Pekin, North Dakota
is the elevator manager at the Farmers Elevator. He was born on June 28, 1835 in Nilson County, three miles from Pekin. His father, Lars O. Bue, was from Hardanger. His mother, Oline Mikkelsen, was born in America of Norwegian parents. Her father was from Telemarken and her mother was from Voss.
His wife, Ella Quam, was born in Nelson County, North Dakota. Her parents are from Gudbrandsdalen. They have three children.
He is a marshal in the Sons of Norway regional society, "Luren", and has been the the entire time since the regional society was founded. He is one of the pioneers in Pekin, North Dakota.
