Kathryn, North Dakota
is a farmer. He was born in Vatne on August 2, 1859 and emigrated to America to Valley City, North Dakota in 1886. From there he went to Sandprairie to Hannibal Suburb from Tomrefjorden. He took a homestead at Sandpririe and has lived there since.
His wife, Agnethe Olsen Hesselberg, is from Skodje. They have eight children. Two sons, Ole and Oscar, are on the farm. The oldest son Johan is a carpenter and lives in Kathryn, North Dakota. He is a member of the Sons of Norway regional society in Kathryn, North Dakota.
