Sevald Frisvold

Cooperstown, North Dakota

was born in Lom on April 22, 1861 and emigrated to America in 1880 to Mankato, Minnesota. He moved from there to St. Paul, Minnesota and came to Fargo, North Dakota in 1882 to the machinery business. He went back to Norway in 1887, then came back again and lived in Milnor, North Dakota for three years. He came to Cooperstown, North Dakota in 1894, first as an Accountant in John Siverson’s business. He was later County treasurer for four years and now has been the bank treasurer in the First National Bank for seven years.

His wife, Kristine Ravndal, is the daughter of County Sheriff Ravndal in Gjesdal. They have three children.
