Finley, North Dakota
is a farmer. He was born in Lyster on August 14, 1840 and emigrated to America in 1872 to Goodhue County Minnesota. He moved to Vernon County, Wisconsin where he was farmer for over 30 years.
His wife, Katherine Fortun, was from Sogn. She died in 1896. He has lived around Hannaford, North Dakota, where two of his children live, for eight years and has just recently come to Finley, North Dakota.
His oldest son, Knut Furaas, lives in Finley, North Dakota and is in the land business together with A. T. Strandnes of Finley, North Dakota.
