works at the Aneta State Bank and is a big farmer. He was born in Ansgar, Iowa in1872. His His mother, Louise Helzesen, was born in Wisconsin. Her father came from Drammen along with Pastor Clausen. His father, Erik Gundersen, emigrated from Numedal in 1854 to St. Ansgar, Iowa. Gundersen has been in Aneta since 1896 and there has a tremendous amount of land. He has held office as a State senator and other important offices. He is president of the board of Regents for the State University in North Dakota and is the city mayor of Aneta, North Dakota.
