J. C. Lund

Fargo, North Dakota

is from Romerike. He was born in Nannestad on September 21, 1872. He grew up at Gardermoen in Ullaker. He lived there until he was 16 1/2 years old and then he emigrated to America in 1889 to Lake Park, Minnesota. He lived there for nine years among the farmers. He moved to Moorhead in 1897 and went into the grocery business together with T. T. Thompsen, who now lives in Leonard, North Dakota. He moved to Fargo in 1897 and worked for Fargo Gas & Electric Company. He is there at this time as the manager of the gas manufacturing deptartment.

He married Netta Ristvedt from Lake Park, Minnesota in 1898. Her parents came from Sandsvaer and live in Lake Park, where they have lived since 1872. They have five children. He was a founders of the Synodens Parish in Fargo and has always taken part in Parish and Sunday School work and is interested in everything Norwegian.
