A. O. Moen

McVille, North Dakota

is the treasurer of the First National Bank. He was born in Nelson County, North Dakota on August 8, 1883. His father, Ole O. Moen, and his mother, Pauline Quam, were both from Gudbrandsdol. The came to America in 1870 and took a homestead in Nelson County, North Dakota in 1881. The farm is now owned by the youngest of his brother Oscar Moen, who is the County Auditor in Lakota, North Dakota.

His wife, Gunda Hoy, is also of Gudbrandsdalsaet. Her parents lives in Grand Forks County, North Dakota.

Moen has lived in McVille, North Dakota in eight years and has been city clerk for three years. The bank is elegantly furnished. It is one of the area’s largest banks.
