Carl H. Morken

is working at the J. J. Elsaas store in Pekin, North Dakota.

He was born in Allamakee County Iowa on December 19, 1892. His father, Hans L. Morken, was from Aalen. His mother, Marie Clasen, was born in Allamakee County, Iowa. His father was only three years old when he came to America. His grandfather, Andreas Morkin, emigrated from Aalen to Houston, Minnesota and lived there until his death. Carl H. Morken has gone to Luther College, Iowa for two years. He came to Pekin in the spring of 1912 and has been working at the Elsaas store since then.

His wife, Anna P. Tangen, is the daughter of Erland Tangen, a farmer near Pekin, North Dakota.
