has the tailorshop and pantorium. He was born in Randsfjord on November 17, 1886 and emigrated to America in 1901 to Montivideo, Minnesota and lived there for three years. Then he went to Brookings, South Dakota for five years and has been in Cooperstown, North Dakota since 1911.

His wife, Inga Hougen, is from Gudbrandsdalen. They have two sons, Claire and Lylle.
