Oluf Soreide

Bowman, North Dakota

was born in Gaarden Soreide in Lavik Parish district on May 20, 1887 and emigrated to America in 1906 to Kenyon, Minnesota. Later he came to Perley, Minnesota and then to Concordia in 1909 as an engineer. In Norway he would have the title "Heating master" or as a witty school man once proposed at a school meeting, the title: "Fireman". He manages over good Lighting and Heating equipment in the new auditorium. He was on a trip to Norway in 1913 and returned in 1914.
