George S. Stomner

Mayville, North Dakota

is the treasurer of the First National Bank. He was born in Solor near Kongsvinger on October 25, 1859 and emigrated to America in 1866 to Kilbourn, Wisconsin . He moved to Mayville in 1881, the same year that the town started. He started a bank in Clifford, North Dakota in 1898. He came to the First National Bank in 1906 and has been the bank treasurer since.

His wife, Mary Julsen, was born in America of Norwegian parents in Wisconsin, where her mother still lives. One of his sons, Alvin Stomner, is working for the bank.
