His wife, Malene Jensen, is from Stavanger. They have eight children. One of his sons, Julius Westley, is with the Mercantile Company. His daughter is married to a manager in the mercantile company called B.M.Lunde. One daughter goes to the Agricultural College in Fargo.

Westley is a flower lover. Every customer knows that they can man see many beautiful flowers in the bank windows.

He is the proprietor of the mercantile company called O. C. Westley and B. M. Lunde. Westley came to America in 1881 to Griggs County together with his parents, O. H. Westley and Oline Aarrestad. They live on a farm seven miles from Hannaford. B. M. Lunde was born in America. His parents are from Stavanger. His father, Martin Lunde, and his mother, Kaja Herigstad, came to Griggs County in 1881 and live on a farm seven miles from Hannaford, North Dakota.
