Carl Rix was born in Iowa in 1880 and came to North Dakota, in 1908. In 1910 he was married to Adelia Adrian. To this union were born two sons, Lawrence Rix and Walter Rix. They moved to the Russell Purinton farm and later to Iowa. In 1922 they moved to the Anton Peterson farm in Willow Township. Lawrence married Mabel Adrian in 1973.
