Kathryn, North Dakota
was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 30, 1866. His father Knut Abrahamsen and his mother Andrine Omundsen were from Hoff in Solor. He came to Kindred, North Dakota in 1881 and lived for a time in Norman. He came to Kathryn, North Dakota in 1901. He has been the Postmaster there since 1904. He is the president of the Sons of Norway regional society "Vesterheimen".
His wife, Elisabeth Larsen, is from Naes in Hallingdal. They have eight children, six sons and two daughters. Their oldest son Arthur is the Editor of "Kathryn Recorder", is 20 years old and is presumably the youngest Editor in the state.
