Mayville, North Dakota
was born in Gran at Hadeland, on September 12, 1887. He took Middle School examinations at Christies School in Kristiania and went to Frogner Gymnasium. He emigrated in 1905 to America to Sheyenne, North Dakota. He worked first at the store and then from 1906 in the First National Bank and has been in the bank business since then. He was on a trip to Norway in 1910 and returned that same year to Mayville and has lived here since. He is now the treasurer of the Goose River Bank and the Secretary of the Northwestern Land and Mortgage Company. He married Miss Elken in 1905. She is a good pianist was an accompanist for the remarkable singing of Mrs. Professor Tharaldsen at the festivities on the 7th and 8th of June. They have built themselves a very nice home in Mayville, North Dakota.
