Pekin, North Dakota
is a farmer. He was born in Lesje on December 8, 1861 and emigrated to America to Freeborn County Minnesota in 1881. He came with Syver Quam to the Sheyenne River in 1882 and took a homestead in Nelson County, North Dakota in Osego Township and lives on the farm, near Pekin, North Dakota. He was on a trip in Norway in 1914. He was at the exhibition to visit his old father Ingebrigt Rolfsen, his sister Ingeborg, and his brother Johan, who live in Lesje. He felt so good with himself had such a favorable trip, he couldn't believe he had been away from Norway for the last 40 years.
