Fargo, North Dakota
was born in 1870 in Vestnes and emigrated to America 1893 to Minneapolis and then went to Fargo in 1908. He now has a shoe store on Broadway.
His wife, Emma Sjolie, is from Østerdalen. They have one son, Arvil. Chelnes and his wife both eagerly take part in the Norwegian Associations and Reunions.
