Buxton, North Dakota
is a farmer. He was born in Aalesund on January 6, 1859 and emigrated to America in 1880 to Chicago, Illinois. He came to Buxton, North Dakota in 1882 and has lived as a farmer in Wold Township since then.
His wife, Inga Solberg, is from Laurdal, near Larvik. She is a beloved, lively and genuine Norwegian wife and , as is her husband, very hospitable and who are down to earth and pleasant people to come to. They have four children. Both the oldest son, Lauritz, and the oldest daughter, Alma, are at home on the farm and are smart and helpful in his home. The two youngest, Helmer and Othilie, go to school and are racing to grow up.
Hans Devold was, as his brother Jens, confirmed in Aalesunds Church of Parish by priest Jos. Jervell and was one of his first Kuld confirmants.
