is from Hardangeraet. His father, Gjert Johansen Dysland, and his mother, Brita Skjeie, was from Kvindherred and emigrated to America in 1853 to Chicago. He struck hay in the center of town and then left.
Dosland was born in Clinton County, Iowa, on October 14, 1872 and graduated from Valparaiso University in 1896 and Minnesota University in 1893 (B. S.). Since that time he has been an attorney in Moorhead, Minnesota. He has been State attorney in Clay County for eight years. He was on the board of trustees at Concordia College for over nine years.
His wife, Anna Lobben, is the daughter of H. O. Lobben in Fargo, North Dakota. They have two children, Gudvin and Corinne.
Attorney Dosland has placed much Norwegian interests for days. He thus earned silver and gold medals each year for the best readings at Concordia College. He is one of the Northwest’s most reputable Norwegians.
