Fargo, North Dakota
is N. G. Eggen’s twin brother and emigrated to America in 1873 to La Crosse, Wisconsin. He was a Norwegian teacher in Spring Grove, Minnesota for a while. He came to Fargo, North Dakota in 1881 and worked in the same company as his brother, until they started their own business in 1890 under the name “Eggen Brothers”.
His wife, Hilda Hansen, was born in America of Norwegian parents in Spring Grove, Minnesota. Her mother still lives there. They have one daughter Olga. Like his brother, he has many Norwegian interests and contacts in the Norwegian Population and has business connections in the Northwest.
