Pekin, North Dakota
is a photographer and jeweler. He was born in Vigten in northern Trondhjems District on April 8, 1819 and he came to America in 1880. His father, Soren Evenstad, and his mother, Petronille Grabo, are both from Trondelagen. They came to Renville County Minnesota and moved to Nelson County, North Dakota in 1881 and took a homestead in Bergen Township. Both his parents are now dead. He has operated a farm for several years. He is owner of a half Section of land in Bergen Township and has lived in Pekin, North Dakota since 1912.
He is a good, pleasant and obliging Man and is interested in all good Norwegians.
