Sharon, North Dakota
is a person from Hedemarking and was born in Naes on January 29, 1855 and emigrated to America in 1872 to Albert Lea, Minnesota. In April of 1903 he purchased farm near Sharon and has lived there since.
His wife, Jorgine Torkildsen, was born in Freeborn County Minnesota. Her father was killed in the Civil War in a battle in Nashville in 1864.
He is a beloved Norwegian, very interested in home for the elderly and Norwegian things.
