Namo, North Dakota
was born on December 24, 1853 in Vestfjorddalen. He came to Tvedestrand when he was eleven years old. He was a seaman for many years, from when he was 16 to 28 years old. He is recorded on the wooden ship "King Sverre" from Tvedestrand. He came to Fargo in 1881 and has had the grocery store since 1885.
His wife, Maren Fjeldhammer, is from Eidsvold. They have two children. Their son Arthur is in business and their daughter Florence goes to Fargo College.
Hadeland is a director and treasurer in the Bergseth Fish Company and has supplied his large business with a well assorted stock of Norwegian food products and is one of the most interesting Norwegian men in Fargo, North Dakota.
