Pekin, North Dakota
was born in America in Houston County, Minnesota. His father, Simon O. Hauge, and his mother, Haege Visland, came from Vraadal.
He came to Aneta in 1904 and took a homestead. He came to Pekin 1906 and has been a carpenter and contractor. He is the owner of the electrical light plant, which gets Pekin as good lighting as can be obtained.
His wife, Helma Kristine Clasen, is a person from Rorosing of Æt, but was born in Ameria. They have three children.
Hauge was first president of the Sons of Norway regional society "Luren" and is a beloved and public spirited Norwegian.
