Fargo, North Dakota
was born in Gaarden Horven in Sjaak on May 15, 1849. He was a shop assistant at A. Bergseng in Lillehammer before he moved to America in 1873. He came to Freeborn, Minnesota, then moved to St. Paul, Minnesota, from there to Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and later to Minneapolis, Minnesota. He came to Fargo, North Dakota in 1887 and has lived there since. He had his own business for a time together with Jorgens. He later worked for the Hector grocery store and has been with the Simonsons Clothing store since 1891.
His wife, Karen Solberg, is from Kongsvinger.
