Litchville, North Dakota
is from Sogndal. He was born on March 21, 1849 and came to Fargo, North Dakota in 1881. He settled north of Harwood. He moved later to a farm north of Valley City. He has worked in Litchville for eight years. His son-in-law, Gust. Carlson, works with him as a Saddle maker. In his younger days Kjelland was a seaman and has traveled widely about. At the Haralds charity dedication he was in Orlogs and talked with Prince Oscar who was later King Oscar II.
