Finley, North Dakota
is a farmer. He was born in Aamodt on February 15, 1855 and emigrated to America in 1883 to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He lived there for two years, and then moved to Sheyenne, North Dakota in 1885. He took a homestead along the Sheyenne River in Franklin Township and has lived there since as a farmer. He is the owner of a homestead farm that now has a section of land.
His wife, Juline Gundersen, is also from Aamodt. They have nine children including three grown sons. The two oldest, Karl and Robert, operate the farm. Paul is in Detroit in the automobile business.
Four daughters are married: Olava is married to John Sylvester a farmer near Finley, North Dakota. Gunda is married to a carpenter, Anton Ness, in Finley, North Dakota. Emma is married to Jens Berge, a farmer in Havre, Montana. Julia is married to Andrew Anderson, a farmer in Griggs County North Dakota.
