Mayville, North Dakota
was born in Ørskog on December 16, 1882 and emigrated to America in 1900 to Mayville, North Dakota. He was in Norway on a trip in 1904 and 1909. For eight years he was the foreman of the Ely farm near Mayville. He is now the manager of the Bortless Northern Oil Company’s department in Mayville. He is a beloved sondmoring and a good Norwegian.
His wife, Sina Ekroll, is from Engesethdalen in Skodje. Her father, Teacher Knut Ekroll, still lives there. Her mother, Anne Marie Fylling, died when she was five years old and then she emigrated to America in 1902 to Mayville and married H. O. Lande on March 18, 1905. They have eight children.
