Buxton, North Dakota
was born in Hjelmeland on May 21, 1830. He was a seaman in Norway and a Captain on many ships. He emigrated to America in 1887 to Buxton and has lived there most of the time since.
His wife, Bertha Øihavn, was from the same region. She died two years ago. He has three children, who all live around Buxton. Two sons, Samson and Olaus Nesvig, are farmers near Buxton. He now lives with his daughter, Mrs. Lereim, in Buxton, North Dakota.
