was born in Kongsberg and despite all the silver work that his father was not done with, he moved nevertheless in 1903 to America to find his goldmine. He first stayed in Pelican Rapids and took a homestead there in 1904. That was his goldmine. Then he married Bella Haugen from Solor who became the sunshine in the cabin with Anton, and the four children became half sun children.

Mrs. Ă˜ien is a real teaser and really likes to visit with people and it can clearly be seen that she accepts everything with a smile and is surely with her miner. She was like a soaring hawk and the world would become full of amusement and a good neighborhood. (O.R.)
