Hastings, North Dakota
has a large farm near town. He was born in Tyldalen and emigrated to America in 1878 and moved to Hastings in 1885.
His wife, Giertrud, is from Lilleelvedalen. They have four sons at home on the farm and his son Ole S. Reiten has the hardware store in Hastings.
