Mayville, North Dakota
was born in Waxvik region on February 2, 1872 and emigrated to America in 1892 to Mayville, North Dakota where he has been a farmer most of the time. He is the owner of a large, beautiful farm eight miles northeast of Mayville. He has rented the farm out and he purchased a beautiful house in Mayville.
His wife, Emilie Fornes, was born in America of Norwegian parents in Webster City, Iowa. She was three years old when she came to North Dakota and has lived here since. She has the Norwegian spirit and skin that many do from Norway. Her, father Sivert O. Fornes, came to America about 45 years ago from Stordalen to Rushford, Minnesota. He moved to Iowa and came to North Dakota 34 years ago. She lived on his farm until her death. They have one son Oscar.
Jens Rosevold and his wife was at Trip to Norway in 1914. They were at the Lincoln Monument and were present at the opening presentation on July 4, in Kristiania at Frogner-Park. They had a pleasant and memorable trip and so himself good about and greeted family and friends both in Sondmore and Trondelagen. Mrs. Rosevold like himself was so confortable in Ørskog, that she gladly acknowledged they could be there the rest of their lives.
