His wife, Mathilde Tangen, is the daughter of Erland Tangen who has a farm near Pekin, North Dakota. He is from Gudbrandsdol and has been to Norway two times.
They have a beloved little daughter Madeline, who blossoms as an Østerdalsk-Gudbrandsdalsk rosebud.
