Fargo, North Dakota
was born in Odalen on March 14, 1871. He was a student since 1889 and a medical candidate since 1897. He practiced he as a doctor for two years in Ulfsten, Sondmore and did his Candidate Service at Rigs Hospital’s various departments. He emigrated to America in 1902 and practiced in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota along with Dr. Tufte for three years. He came to Fargo, North Dakota in 1905 and went into partnership with Dr. Nils Tronnes, who had been in Fargo for one year and practiced with Dr. Thams. Dr. Sand has taken a student travel to Berlin and several student travels here in America. He has earned a reputable name as one of the Northwest’s most capable surgeons and has a very large practice.
His wife, Eva Crawford Sand, was born in Grimstad. She was a student from 1892 and graduated as a doctor from Kristiania University in 1907. They have one daughter Hedvig.
