was born in Minnesota. His parents are from Trondhjem. He graduated from St. Olaf's College in 1906 (from the Agricultural Department). He worked for the U. S. Department of Agriculture from 1907 to 1911. He was a teacher at Spokane College, Spokane, Washington from 1911 to 1916. He has worked at Concordia College since 1916 as a teacher in chemistry and biology. He is a superintendent of the "Men’s Dormitory" and is in "Charge of Athletics".
