Cooperstown, North Dakota
is a carpenter and painter. He was born in Donno on June 14, 1851 and emigrated to America in 1892 to Lake Park, Minnesota. He lived there for 21 years as a farmer and then he moved to Cooperstown, North Dakota in 1912.
His wife Helmine is from Donno. They have eight children. All of them live in this area. One daughter, Inga Solfjeld, is married to Ole Myklebust and they live five miles from Bergen.
