Litchville, North Dakota
is the town’s Norwegian doctor. He was 17 years old when he came to America. He was born in Risor and grew up in Skien, where his father was the manager of the poor relief fund. The doctor received his education at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Chicago, where he practiced for a time. He has now been doctor in the Litchville and Fort Ransom area for 16 years.
His wife,Thora Haugen, is from Gjovik. They have eight children. One of the sons is a student at Fargo College.
