Aneta, North Dakota
was born in Borgund in Laerdal on February 24, 1866. He was baptised in the old Borgund stave church, but was confirmed in the new church. He emigrated to America in 1889 to Northwood, North Dakota. He went to Aneta in 1898 and has been a saddle maker there since. In 1908 he went on a trip to Norway to see his old mother for the last time.
His wife, Martha Grymyr, is from Hadeland. They have four children. His oldest son Henry M. Ulvick works in his father’s business. One can appreciate that Ulvick is a capable and public spirited Man as he has worked as a clerk on the School board for twelve years, has been the president of the Commercial Club and now is oncity Council. He is a good American, another good former Norwegian.
